T20 Cricket has become the most popular format among spectators. We have seen how this format has evolved over the years. For the first time in cricket history, more than 100 T20 games were played by full member teams.

T20 Cricket has changed the whole dynamics of cricket since its birth. The year 2021 was full of T20 cricket and we have seen some brilliant knocks for the course of the whole year. 

Pakistani captain Babar Azam kicked off the year in style through his magnificent inning and that really set the tempo as we were lucky enough to witness so many good knocks especially during the T20 world cup. 

1- Babar Azam- 122 vs RSA

Before playing this inning, Babar was only known for playing around the ground and anchoring the inning at a decent strike rate. But on April 14, the Cricketing world had seen a different Babar who started his inning from the 5th gear and did not stop until he totally destroyed the South African bowling attack. The best thing about this inning, he helped Pakistan chase a stiff target of 204 runs with an over to spare. His class was written all over the shots and he hit some lusty blows out of the park.

2- Jos Buttler – 101* vs SL

It is a very rare sight to see England’s white-ball cricket team struggling in the T20 match and it happened during their Worldcup match against Srilanka. England was down and under the pump with 47-3 in the first ten overs. They were looking for some heroics to get a decent total to defend and that’s when We saw the best of Jos Buttler who took Sri Lankans bowlers to the cleaner with his batting prowess and single-handedly won his team a match with his century.

3- Kane Williamson- 85 vs Aus

When Kane Williamson is in the mood, it is surely a treat to watch him play. His one of the finest knocks came during the T20 WC against Australia when he almost took his team to a finishing line with batting master class.  He played with an elbow injury but still delivered his best but his inning was in vain as Australia won the title. 

4- Matthew Wade-  41* vs Pak

Pakistan thought they had the match In their pockets but Matthew wade had different ideas that night. Matthew wade didn’t get to play much during the tournament but he just had a dream day with the bat in the semi-finals. When everyone write Australia off with 62 needed of 5 overs, Wade stepped up and did the unimaginable.

5- Asif Ali – 25* vs Afg

All the experts and people in Pakistan Questioned the inclusion of Asif Ali in the WC squad as he had performed below par in his short career. But nobody expected what they were going to witness when Pakistan needed 24 off 12 balls. Asif Ali hit 4 sixes in the 19th over to win a thrilling encounter against Afghanistan. He showed what he is actually capable of and what a good ball striker he is.
